Hooligan Hangouts IRL
Hooligan Hangouts is a live conversation series that celebrates the artist in their entirety by exploring their many passions. Our first IRL Hooligan Hangouts kicked off in April 2022 with Akenya and was recorded and produced by Maya Muerhoff and John Draughon.
Akenya is a multi-genre vocalist, pianist, composer, producer, and educator. Her music is an eclectic synthesis of jazz, hip-hop, soul, pop, classical, and world music. A proud Chicago native, Akenya has performed and recorded with some of the city's leading artists such as Smino, Saba, and Chance the Rapper.

I was invited by City Cast Chicago for an episode alongside A.D. Quig and host Jacoby Cochran. We covered municipal elections, LGBTQ healthcare, Hooligan Hangouts and sticker shock for COVID treatments and vaccines.
